There are many advantages that come with synthetic clothing. Currently, it is much cheaper to buy a polyester shirt than it is to buy an organic cotton shirt. They are easier to clean, easier to manage, and easier to produce. To many, it seems quite clear that synthetic clothing is a great invention that should be adopted by as many as possible.
However, are there any possible downsides of wearing synthetic clothing? Many do not know that these fabrics are made from plastic that is synthesized from petroleum products and that these manufacturing processes are harmful for the environment. There is already a very high amount of plastics in the environment, and they are found in food, water, soil, and more. There is ample scientific evidence that these plastics are harmful to the human body, but the potential harm from wearing synthetic clothing is not often discussed. Could it be harmful to wear such fabrics? If so, why would that be?
Hear Sadhguru speak about the dangers of synthetic clothing and the ways that these dangers can be mitigated. Especially for children, wearing natural and organic fibers is very important if all people are to be healthy, happy, and fully alive.
