Why the Opposition?

The meeting had already been going on for over an hour. Nothing had been resolved. Two people agreed on one plan of action while the other four opposed that plan. Charts, slides, and discussions continued, but one additional hour had not resulted in any progress. The meeting adjourned, and another was scheduled for the next week.

Opposition is everywhere. It is easy to criticize anything. No experience is needed to have an opinion. But can opposition ever be helpful?
