Social media has changed the world. It started in the early 2000s and has grown at a fast rate since then. It has become a game changer for how people get information, connect with others, and how they spend a large part of their time. However, not all social media is used in a positive manner; sometimes, it is used to promote violence, bullying, and other negative behaviors.

According to a report on the rise of social media: “Facebook, the largest social media platform in the world, has 2.4 billion users. Other social media platforms including YouTube and WhatsApp also have more than one billion users each.”

“These numbers are huge – there are 7.7 billion people in the world, with at least 3.5 billion of us online. This means social media platforms are used by one-in-three people in the world, and more than two-thirds of all internet users.”

Sadhguru speaks about the incredible opportunity that this generation has to transform the world we live in, and how we should be conscious of using technology for the betterment of society, not to its detriment.

Social media is a two edge sword both good and bad. Your best intentions can be made to offend certain people.

I participated in Sadhguru’s Inner Engineering online last year and it was life changing. I have remained healthy in mind, body & spirit during the height of this pandemic and I can see no reason why I can’t continue to do so. I can’t express the gratitude I have feel towards Sadhguru and the Isha Institute. Namaskaram!
