“Love makes the world go round.”

“Love is all there is.”

“All you need is love.”

These familiar quotes are just a few of hundreds of sayings about the all-important, sought-after emotional experience we call love. When we think of love, the way it is portrayed in popular books and movies and songs, we most often think of a romantic object of our affection. We think that the good feeling of falling and staying in love is the result of a certain desirable life condition happening outside of ourselves – perhaps of finding the “right” person, or experiencing a beautiful scene or connecting with something pleasant. Sometimes it seems that the feeling of being in love is outside our control.

Similarly when we are unhappy and stressed we tend to look outside ourselves to find a reason for our unhappiness. When we are unhappy we want to blame the situation or person we think is responsible for our mood. We try to change the outer circumstances so we can feel better.

In both of these scenarios the outer experience is said to “cause” the inner experience. But is it possible to feel an inner experience of love, pleasantness and contentment within ourselves regardless of what is happening around us? In this video, Sadhguru shows us the way to manage our inner worlds so that we experience true freedom from compulsive reactivity and a deep feeling of true love and peace in every moment.
