Most of the time, when most of us refer to our ‘lives’, what we are actually referring to is simply our lifestyles – or our arrangements for living.

One’s life, on the contrary, is the fundamental vital energy within. The enhancement of this vital energy translates to the quality of one’s life experience.

So what happens when we lose sight of this and focus on our arrangements for living instead of the life within? This question has become especially important during the pandemic, when so many people’s lifestyles have been affected.

In this video, Sadhguru explains how lifestyles are simply a factor of the times we live in combined with our ability to coordinate the circumstances in which we find ourselves.

He emphasises the importance of focusing on quality of life in order to make the life within as beautiful as possible to go through any kind of time.

In fact, ‘downtime’ can be seen as an excellent opportunity to enhance ourselves and upgrade our capabilities. This is especially relevant when an awareness of our mortality highlights the importance of living sensibly.

Essentially, Sadhguru encourages us not to multiply our problems. He explains how the best way to do this is to focus on simply enhancing life itself. One of the ways he suggests is recognising that our time is limited and therefore doing only that which truly matters to us.
