If you have ever had shortness of breath, accompanied by chest tightness or chest pain, and a cough, all of which made it difficult to sleep, then you might be experiencing asthmatic symptoms.

Asthmatic symptoms, also called asthma flare-ups or asthma attacks, can be caused by allergies and exposure to allergens. These allergens include pet dander, dust mites, pollen, and mold. Non allergic triggers can include smoke, pollution, or even sharp changes in the weather. Health-field professionals are still trying to find a cure for asthma and currently offer medications to keep the symptoms at bay. But for those who prefer not to take medications at the onset of each flare-up, is there something else they can do?
