We know that we have two eyes capable of seeing physical phenomena. But did you know that we can only see that which stops light? For instance, we cannot see the air because it does not stop light. In fact, our eyes only let us see the densest aspects of things. Are we limited to just what our two eyes can see? Can we experience and perceive something that is beyond physical nature?

Is this the function of the third eye, to experience that which is beyond shape and form? Is it attainable for the average person or just available to yogis? Can we go beyond the veil of imagination and open our third eye?

Sadhguru describes the opening of the third eye as the most significant aspect of Shiva’s life. He also speaks about two ways to open the third eye to enhance one’s perception beyond the physical.
