Sadhguru is known the world over for his unbridled involvement with life. Whether it be tracing the length and breadth of the Indian subcontinent as a motorcyclist, offering tools for transformation as a yogi, rallying support for the planet’s natural resources as an environmental activist, or penning internationally bestselling books about the mechanics of life, Sadhguru is living proof that every activity can be a door to the divine. This video seeks to shine a light on one of his lesser known facets as a poet.

Set against the 39th Enlightenment Day celebrations held at Isha Yoga Center, poet and author Arundhathi Subramaniam speaks with Sadhguru during the launch of his latest book of poems “Eternal Echoes.” She expresses her experience reading the compilation as “almost like having a glimpse into a mystic’s journal.”

“When you want  to express something which doesn’t fit into the limitations of logic, poetry becomes very useful. In those four lines you can hit somebody in such a way that it really hits them and forever they’ll remember those four lines. It just transforms their life. So poetry is a very powerful tool like that” – Sadhguru

To paraphrase the words of the interviewer, “Eternal Echoes” offers glimpse after glimpse into the unimaginably eventful inner life of a mystic. As Subramaniam says, it is a must read for those who wish to mingle with a borderline being who stands on the cusp of diverse worlds as a dual citizen of the darkness and the light. Given the finitude of our time and energy on this planet, is it not worth developing the competence to explore the higher dimensions of life? To embrace not only the light but also the darkness? This video is a gentle introduction to this unique work of art.
