Comparison almost seems to be a natural way of life. It’s not necessary, but we all do it at one time or another. One parent is balancing a career, three elementary school children, a move into a new home, and a recent car breakdown. While another parent is barely able to get their children ready for school on time, even though they are a stay-at-home parent.
Comparing can either help us want to change for the better, or it can lead to feelings of inadequacy. We might then get stuck in feeling freaked out. Why do some people freak out over certain circumstances and others seem to be able to carry, or deal, with a heavier load? How then do we gain and maintain balance in our lives?
Sadhguru explains that the only reason people lose their balance is because they fail to see that the seat of their experience is within. Once you see that “the quality of my life is entirely my making and nobody else’s,” balance will happen. Once balance happens, it is possible to create many things upon this stable foundation.
